The Forest Lake Club
Wendy grew up visiting The Forest Lake Club, as did her mother, her grandmother and her great grandfather. In fact, Wendy's great, great grandfather was one of the first members of the club after it was founded in 1882. T.J.'s family owns a cottage nearby on Lake Wallenpaupack. Early in our relationship we realized that we'd spent many summer days only 20 minutes away from each other. Since the beginning of our relationship, Forest Lake has become a special place to both of us. It became even more special when T.J. proposed to Wendy while sitting side-by-side looking out across Forest Lake.
FLC is a private club set on a 4700 acre preserve in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. The club property includes Wolf Lake, Forest Lake, Corilla Lake, two miles of protected trout stream and a well-preserved forest. At the center of the property is a Swiss Gothic clubhouse originally built in 1899 that houses a full-service restaurant and 20 guest rooms. Members also own private cottages on club land. FLC is a place of community and wilderness, of activity and respite, of multitude and solitude. We look forward to sharing it with you on the weekend of June first.
