So ... lots of people want to get married on June first.  Woodloch, the family resort immediately adjacent to The Forest Lake Club, is hosting four weddings that weekend!  Additionally, few places are willing to hold rooms or offer discounted wedding rates.  Please book early.  You will have the best opportunity to reserve limited housing if you make reservations as soon as possible.

The Pocono region near The Forest Lake Club and Lake Wallenpaupack is home to many small resorts and vacation homes, but few nationally-branded hotel chains.  The following list is roughly in order of suggested preference.  We hope that most people will be able to find accommodations at Woodloch Springs, The Ledges Hotel, The Settlers Inn and East Shore Lodging.  If you're unable to find accommodations at one of our suggestions, please consider searching for another small, independent option.

Woodloch Springs is a private community of 2-5 bedroom guest homes set around an award-winning golf course.  It is five minutes from Woodloch Pines, the main resort, and directly across the street from The Lodge at Woodloch, a destination spa resort.  Woodloch Springs is a 5-10 minute drive from FLC.  Woodloch has reserved for our wedding guests three homes that sleep 8-10 people each.  Rates are $170 per bedroom per night.  When full, the per-bedroom rate drops, and each home should be $510 per night.

The Ledges Hotel

The Ledges is a boutique hotel located in an historic silk mill along the Lackawaxen River in downtown Hawley.  Rates start at $110 per room per night.  We are unable to hold rooms or reserve them at a discounted wedding rate.  The Ledges is an 18 minute drive from FLC and the sister property of the nearby Settlers Inn.

The Settlers Inn is a beautifully restored bed and breakfast lodge decorated with mission-style furniture and arts and crafts touches (that's their wording).  The night of our engagement, we celebrated with dinner at the lodge's farm-to-table restaurant.  Rates start at $166 per room per night.  We are unable to hold rooms or reserve them at a discounted wedding rate.  The Settlers Inn is a 17 minute drive from FLC and the sister property of the nearby Ledges Hotel.

East Shore Lodging

East Shore Lodging is a family-run, lodge-style motel on the east side of Lake Wallenpaupack.  Rates are $89 to $99 per room per night and require a two night minimum stay.  The lodge's 12 rooms are available for reservation by phone in January 2013 and online immediately.  We are unable to hold rooms or reserve them at a discounted wedding rate.  East Shore Lodging is a 22 minute drive from FLC.  Be sure to get directions from their website.

Beach Lake Inn is a bar and restaurant with six attached rooms — a real rural tavern.  Rates for the five regular rooms with full size beds are $85 per room per night.  The king suite is $125 per night.  Beach Lake Inn is a 16 minute drive from FLC.

The Hotel Wayne is a small town, country hotel originally constructed in 1827 and completed renovated in 2009.  It is located in the downtown historic district of Honesdale, the county seat of Wayne County, and is a 28 minute drive from FLC.  Rates for the twenty rooms range from $103.50 to $149.50.
